Where to Find Your Coaches

You can find golf coaches at places like your local golf course, driving range, or golf academy. Many coaches work with kids and teach beginner skills like how to hold a club, swing, putt, and stay safe on the course.

You can also meet coaches through school golf teams, junior golf programs, or by asking at the clubhouse. A coach helps you learn faster, build confidence, and have more fun while playing golf.

Your coach will teach you about your golf clubs, how to swing correctly, and simple putting strategies. Your first lesson will usually take place at a driving range, where you practice hitting balls far, or on a putting green, where you practice rolling the ball into the hole.

Levels of Golf

  • SNAG stands for Starting New At Golf. It is made for kids who are just beginning to learn golf. SNAG uses smaller clubs and colorful balls that are easier to hit, making golf fun, safe, and easy to learn. Kids practice simple skills like swinging, chipping, and putting.

  • Development is the next level for kids who already know the basics of golf and want to improve their skills. Players learn better swings, putting, rules, and how to play on a real golf course.

  • Interclub is when kids begin playing matches against other golf teams or clubs. It helps players learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and how tournaments work.

  • Champions is for advanced junior golfers who are ready for bigger tournaments and stronger competition. Players at this level work hard to improve their scores and compete against some of the best young golfers.
